inaccurate sounds I think this program has the capability of being an excellent teaching tool to introduce composition to young and even very young students. I do have a couple of concerns, however. One concern is that most of the "instrument" sounds do not match the instrument. As a music educator, I find it vitally important that especially my young children be acquainted with good tones and sounds and voices. This helps make them better musicians and singers. I\'m totally in love with this program. I used to write music in an old manuscript book before, and it would turn out too untidy, with plenty of mistakes and such. Then I decided to search the Internet for software that would enable me to write music on the computer. Notation Composer is everything I wanted in that software.

Im really enjoying this program. Its very easy to use and only took me a few hours to get the hang of it. It has many different choices for instruments which makes it really fun!!Im not sure how to use the recording feature. I have a microphone hooked up to my computer but It didnt work, so Im not sure what Im doing wrong... Good product I've used other music software programs in the past & found them difficult to navigate. I found that the notation composer was quite easy to use once you learn how to use it. I am thinking about purchasing this software, but I have to consider how many times will I actually use it. I am a retired clarinetist & rarely play or perform. I would be a very occassional user & might not be worth it to purchase it, since I might maybe used it once or twice a year.

playback It does not allow me to play back what I have composed however I did find it very useful and easy to use.

I like it Very easy to use. The down side is the playback synth instruments sound like total bad. But the program is great.

Dissapointing MIDI Creator I tried it with rather high quality audio gear and humming or whatever would either produce poor or no output results at all. I am using a Creative Labs Soundblaster Live! with a line level signal from a Behringer Xenyx 802 Mixer and Nady SCM-800 Studio Condensers and still not able to produce even acceptable output results with the Sloud UB Composer. I cannot recommend this software to make MIDI from even a hummed tune. Wanted OVER 2 Gig to compose! Whenever I tried to "compose" it said it wanted about 2.1Gig of disk space! I have that much on another disk (D:) but I couldn't find a way to point it to D: instead of C: ... hence, I couldn't run it.

seriously? The UI seems quite honestly to be a bad joke. It's probably one of the most unworkable and confusing pieces of interactive design I have seen in my entire life.
